The thesis discusses the tools commonly used by developers in exploratory environments of languages Smalltalk and Self. These languages free their users from using plain unstructured source code. Moreover, they contain tools with richer features. The thesis consists of an analysis, a design proposal, and a description of Object Viewer, a Self based tool designed for languages C and C++. The tool graphically displays fragments of a program (objects and pointers) and allows for manipulating them during debugging. The conclusion consists of a summary and a recommendation for additional new features.
The Introduction of a new Quality Management System and its Evaluation

The aim of my work is to analyze at the same time established the quality management system according to ISO 9001. On the basis of evaluated propose the implementation of the introduction of modern management in the form of self-assessment of EFQM excelence Model as a way to find strengths and areas for improvement. The work includes comparison with both the quality management system based on ISO 9001 and based on the EFQM excelence Model.
A View on Reflection in Nursing and Social Work Education

In times of dynamic social changes and uncertainty, reflective practice becomes crucial for social work and nursing. This dissertation examines the epistemological foundations and the multidimensional nature of reflection within professional education from various theoretical perspectives tested through original empirical findings, which aim to prevent the reduction of reflection to a mere technique and instead promote dialogue, interdisciplinary cooperation, and participatory methods. Drawing on phenomenological and critical constructivist approaches deepens the understanding of educators' individual and collective experiences and reflective practices. The structure of the thesis corresponds to three empirical phases. The first phase investigates the characteristics of reflection and its developmental potential using SRIS and PHLMS questionnaires. The second phase, encompassing reflexive thematic analysis of interviews, addresses educators' views on reflection and their methods of promoting reflectivity among students. In the third phase, the work employs Q methodology to process and analyze various perspectives on reflection among educators. The Novel as Moment of In-Between. Oikological Considerations on the Where of Belletristic Prose Jonas Vanbrabant Abstract This master's thesis addresses the phenomenon of belletristic prose from an oikological point of view, on the question of the place of reading and writing. Considering the novel, and in the same breath the novella and the short story, as multiple moments of 'in-between' opens up perspectives beyond the phenomenologically superseded dichotomy of receptionist aesthetics on the one hand and productionist poetics on the other. Drawing on a wide variety of thinkers from the broader field of Husserl's legacy, notably Adorno, Bakhtin, Blumenberg, Derrida, Eco, Henry, IJsseling, Kundera, Levinas, Palmen, Richir, Ricœur, Schapp, Schütz, Sepp and Stein, the in-betweenness of the novel is explored in three chapters. Firstly along the selves of the reader and writer and the characters, showing, with focus on the role of empathy and affective phantasy, that these figures cannot but be configured inside the in-between of the literary work. In the second chapter regarding the problem of fiction, in which, minding the realistic and the imaginative preserved in fiction, the novel is being depicted as woven or weavable fabric, which precisely because of its in-betweenness leads to meaning and sympathy....
Relating to another person in the ethics of E. Levinas

The thesis is theoretically arranged and comprises two main chapters. It deals with an ethical concept of the relationship towards the Other person that is represented by a French philosopher of 20th century Emmanuel Levinas. The relationship between the Self and the Other is developed, in which the other person is always the primordial centre of my interest. The primary feature of Levinas´ ethics is to show it like the first philosophy. It is particular for him to understand metaphysics in a purely ethical concept. At Levinas, there is an event of a turn in ethics, when the current ontology, which is focused on a theoretical knowledge, is substituted by metaphysics. Morality is acknowledged as an essence of ethical relationship with the other person. This interpersonal relationship is always an asymmetric relationship and fundamentally ethical. Levinas´ ethics is the ethics of responsibility for the Other, in which is possible to approach the Other. The ethics deals with a concept of transcendence, Infinity, exteriority and interiority.
Forming Identity in Jennifer Egan's Novels

This diploma thesis focuses on the question of identity and its formation in the novels of the contemporary American author, Jennifer Egan. At first, it characterizes the concept of identity in literature in relation to literary characters, and it attempts to define the term as such. After the introduction, it moves to situating the concept in particular literary periods, with an emphasis on the context in which the writer has built her career of a successful novelist and in which there is a continuation of postmodern heritage on the one hand and the emergence of contemporary novelistic writing that is sometimes called "post-postmodernism" on the other hand. In the practical part, the thesis examines selected Egan's novels, Look at Me, The Keep, A Visit from the Goon Squad a Manhattan Beach, and thoroughly analyses how she deals with the topic. By a method of close-reading and interpretation, it aims to capture the essence of characters' identities, if there is any, and subsequently to identify the nature of today's American fiction.
Empathy in the Context of Edith Stein´s Philosophy

The aim of the thesis is to dive deeper into the early philosophical work of Edith Stein, especially with regard to her dissertation thesis On the Problem of Empathy. She defended it in 1916 before Edmund Husserl and its main contribution is to open the question of the possibility of mediating the knowledge of the world among subjects. In her first work, Stein focuses on the act of empathy itself, on the constitution of a psychophysical individual, and she asks about their conditions and possibilities of empathy and our own self-concept. This thesis will follow the line of her thinking in detail and it will try to grasp her contribution (comprehensively and in context) to topics such as intersubjectivity and constitution of our self and experience, on the border of the phenomenological method. The affiliated issues, including those related to empathy, will not be left aside either.
Gleaning, trash picking, scavenging: Dumpster diving and symbolic boundaries between clean and unclean

The author deals with the phenomenon of dumpster diving. Being focused on those divers who are used to dumpster dive not being pressed to it by their financial situation, she concentrates on their definition of purity and their way of dealing with symbolic boundaries of clean and unclean. After summarising social-environmental and social scientific background of the phenomenon in context of the theoretical frame based on Mary Douglas and her book about purity and danger the author presents a qualitative analysis of participant observation and in- depth interviews with informants who dumpster dive voluntarily. Based on quantitatively and representatively tested public opinion on dumpster diving she points both the colourful composition of dumpster divers' motives and ideological believes and their reflection and norm- based boundaries categorization that is connected to food they are used to eat. In connection with informants' conception of food value the author argues that through inspiring power of the first dumpster diving experience informants' understanding and dealing with those boundaries have changed.
